CONTEST GUIDELINES
Below are the Contest Guidelines from the 2024 competition year, for you to use these as examples and for practice for the upcoming year.
In January, the guidelines will be removed and replaced with the 2025 guidelines as we receive them from each contest’s technical committee.

Employment Application Process
Job Skill Demonstration A - demonstrate a career objective in an occupational area that is included in one of the contest areas of SkillsUSA.
Job Skill Demonstration Open - demonstrate any technical skill from outside the cluster/training program of the contestant.

For Competition at the Michigan State Leadership and Skills Conference, all students will take the Professional Development Assessment online between March 27-April 7, 2025. Depending on the contest, some students may also have a Technical Assessment assigned to them in the online portal.
